Your 2024 Fall Health Fair Results

Thank you for attending Aspen Valley Hospital’s Fall Health Fair. Online results will be available in your MyChart account and your ISWM account as soon as your results are ready. Paper result packets should arrive by  November 4.

Your electronic results will be available either in the ItStartsWithMe.com portal or in your MyChart account, depending on how you requested your electronic results.

Menu of Tests Offered

This screening provides a general picture of overall blood health, and it checks for infection, anemia and early signs of leukemia.

PLEASE NOTE: This stand-alone CBC test does not require fasting.

Hemoglobin A1C is a test that measures the amount of glycated hemoglobin in your blood. Glycated hemoglobin is a substance in red blood cells that is formed when blood sugar (glucose) attaches to hemoglobin. Hemoglobin A1C monitors a person’s glucose control over the last 2-3 months. It does not require fasting and is recommended for anyone with a family history of diabetes.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are combing this test with the HealthScreen w/ CBC you will need to fast to help ensure that your Lipid Panel test results are accurate. This means no food in the 12 hours prior to your blood draw. You may consume water or black coffee and it is okay to brush your teeth as usual.

Elevated levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein can indicate vascular (artery and vein) inflammation, which may be helpful in assessing risk of developing heart disease, cardiovascular disease or other processes involving inflammation. It does not require fasting

PSA testing may be beneficial in detecting abnormal conditions of the prostate gland. Men who have increased risk for prostate cancer should start testing earlier (such as American men of African descent and men with a family history of the disease) usually at age 40 or 45. Elevated PSA levels may indicate a non-cancerous swelling of the prostate, an infection of the prostate, and in some cases, prostate cancer. It does not require fasting.

A free triiodothyronine (T3, free) test is used to asses thyroid gland function. It is ordered primarily to help diagnose hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) and may be ordered to help monitor treatment of a person with a known thyroid disorder. It is typically ordered along with a TSH and Free T4 test.

T4 is a hormone produced in the thyroid gland. T4 levels are important, because T4 increases numerous substances that produce energy for the body. T4 levels are tested to help evaluate thyroid gland function and help diagnose hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.

25-hydroxyvitamin D is used to determine if bone weakness, bone malformation or abnormal metabolism of calcium (reflected by abnormal calcium, phosphorus, PTH) is occurring as a result of a deficiency or excess of vitamin D.

Our most popular test, the HealthScreen w/ CBC requires fasting to help ensure that your Lipid Panel test results are accurate. This means no food in the 12 hours prior to your blood draw. You may consume water or black coffee and it is okay to brush your teeth as usual.

In order to manage traffic in and out of the Hospital and the Eagle County Community Center in El Jebel, please wait in your car until 5 minutes before your assigned appointment time if you arrive early for your appointment.

Aspen Valley Hospital

  • Park in the main parking lot and proceed to the Aspen Ambulance entrance.

Eagle County Community Center

  • There is ample parking in front of the building. Follow signs to the east (Hwy. 82) side of the building.

The Health Fair in Aspen will take place at the Aspen Ambulance building located adjacent to Aspen Valley Hospital. The check-in process and your blood draw appointment will take place indoors.

The Health Fair in El Jebel will take place inside the Eagle County Community Center.

 

 

Yes. We accept all major credit and debit cards, HSA cards, cash and checks.

It is your individual responsibility to submit your Health Fair paperwork to your insurer. The Hospital will not do this on your behalf.

MyChart account holders will be able to access their results on their smartphone or computer as soon as results become available after the Health Fair.

You can also access your laboratory results online as soon as they become available at http://my.itstartswithme.com/ as long as you have pre-registered for the event and you have a username and password. Please note that you must consent to enable online access to results.

Mailed paper results packets should arrive at the address you provided by June 24. If your results do not arrive by that date, please contact It Starts With Me Health at 800-217-5866.

For MyChart app users, you will also be able to see your results in the app and share them with your provider.

Yes. Going forward your year-over-year changes and trends will be included in your results so you can keep on top of any changes.

You can access previous Health Fair laboratory results online at http://my.itstartswithme.com/ as long as you have a username and password.

Going forward after fall 2023, historical Health Fair blood draw results will be available in MyChart by clicking the test results icon on the homepage.

For Aspen Valley Hospital and AVH clinic patients who have set up a MyChart account, your results will be available in the app.

If you do not have a MyChart account or your provider is not part of the AVH Network of Care, your doctor will able to access your results only if you have opted in to share your results with Quality Health Network. This allows your physician to retrieve your results on your behalf.

NOTE: You will need to opt in to the Quality Health Network (QHN) at the time of your appointment.

 

Once you have made an appointment, you can change your appointment time by logging in to your account and selecting another time slot, or by calling It Starts With Me Health at 800-217-5866. The phone line will is available Monday – Friday, 9 am-4 pm Mountain Time.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please log in to your account and cancel your appointment so we may offer it to another person.
